I got to sing for the elementary school in Nesselwang, Germany. It was one of the highlights of my trip. This little girl in the picture above gave me a huge hug when we were leaving and also handed me a little tiny picture that she drew. Later that evening I met her mother who came up to me after the performance at St. Andreas Church with a sweet little gift from this same darling girl. I love working with children in the schools. Music is so important and especially important for children. Our world needs more good music. We need to feel the peace that comes from spreading beautiful powerful uplifting music. I was delighted to be able to spend some time with these children in Germany. It meant a lot to me to be able to share simple music with them. I was unable to speak in their language, but music has a way of speaking directly to our souls and I know they felt my heart in a way no language is able to do.

I got to meet with two different classes at the schools and it was so delightful to sing for them and also communicate with them. One class had a piano and I got to sing a couple of songs, and the other classroom I visited was a language class learning English. It was so cute to teach them a song in English and to have them repeat it back to me. They also were invited to ask questions. The questions they asked were all so cute. “Where are you from?” “How old are you?” “What do you do?” I had a great time and loved meeting the children they were so precious.
