Despite my best attempts to not write a “Brag blog” somehow some people misconstrue the good stuff I write to mean that life is perfect all the time. And that just isn’t true. You haven’t seen the other 90% hidden from view.

I want to capture “the real stuff” but you know what? My life as it is, is good. Not because it is perfect – it’s because it isn’t perfect. You can’t appreciate the sweet if you don’t know the bitter. I tend to focus on the joyous moments in my life. Life is good because I love it, I work at it,  and I’m grateful because of it. I want to share the good stuff, because it inspires me – and I hope to do the same for you. I try to have an eternal perspective and that really helps me to get through anything. Since I have faith God is real, I trust He knows what I’m going through and He is there with me every step of the way.

For the past year I got involved in other commitments and I did not write on this blog during that time. (If you’ve noticed there is a big gap between March 2014 and August 2015.) I don’t want to sound like my life is all peachy all the time. I have thousands of concerns  and bumps along the road. Just because I tend to focus more on the positive things in life, doesn’t mean I don’t have problems too. Focusing on gratitude brings more happiness into my life than I could ever imagine and I want to share that JOY with you. I hope my blog posts inspire you and help you in your life.
