BURLEY, ID (KMVT) A brand new recording studio opened its doors in Burley today. The Groove Machine Studio held a ribbon cutting to celebrate its opening. Owner Jason Parton has been wanting to open a studio for about ten years now. During that time he’s made recordings in his home. Now he can do that in a larger, more convenient space.

Parton says, “Currently we’re doing just the recording and some post–production, not very much. We don’t do any of the disk printing or any of that here. Soundwise we try to do it in-house. We can do instrument setup and repair, sound system service, installation, all that kind of stuff.”

Parton says eventually he wants to have a full time music store. But in the meantime he’ll settle for having the recording studio, as well as offering music lessons for people who are interested. If you’d like to contact Parton, call him at the Book Plaza in Burley at 678-2505.
