You could eat this but it’s not meant to be eaten. Lemon Scrub is a recipe for your skin. I have been using this inexpensive easy recipe as an exfoliant before shaving for about a year now and it looks and feels marvelous so I wanted to share it with you. It is so simple and easy to do I wish I had known about it a long time ago. It’s a Van Glam tip!

1/2 Cup cold fresh pressed olive oil. (Fresh pressed olive oil is very hard to find but find it – it tastes good on your food and it is the best olive oil you can buy. It is a chemically free process and keeps it a very high quality oil. I love it because it is GREEN!)

3/4 Cup table salt. Yes table salt… no not sea salt. You aren’t eating this salt and its so cheep to use in this recipe you don’t have to grind it up in a grinder to make it soft it is just the perfect grit to buff away dead skin and leave you so soft and smooth.

1/4 of juice from lemon

2-3 drops of lemon essential oils

Stir the oil with the salt and then add the lemon juice. Keep in a covered container in a cool dry place and use within 4-6 months. Trust me, you will love it and one recipe lasts me one month or so. I use it in the bath for shaving. Soak your legs in very warm water bath for at least 10 minutes before scrubbing, use approximately one tablespoon on one leg and scrub gently then shave. My legs are so super soft and smooth I hardly need moisturizer! (And I live in a desert!) I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
